TAJIC Foundation Joins the Global Fight Against Gender-Based Violence

From November 25th to December 10th, the TAJIC Foundation is joining the world in observing the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. This global campaign aims to raise awareness and promote action to end violence against women and girls. The 2024 theme, “UNITE!! To End Violence Against Women and Girls”, is a call for collective strength and determination to break the cycle of violence.

Why This Matters

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a widespread issue that affects millions of women and girls worldwide. Whether it’s physical, emotional, or sexual violence, its impact is devastating, not just on the victims, but on communities as a whole. Despite the progress made, the fight against GBV is far from over.

TAJIC Foundation stands firmly against GBV, emphasizing that #NoToGenderBasedViolence is not just a slogan, but a commitment to change. We believe that everyone—individuals, communities, and governments—has a role in ending this violence.

The Power of Unity

The theme of this year’s campaign, “UNITE!! To End Violence Against Women and Girls”, highlights the importance of working together. Ending GBV is not something any one person or organization can do alone. It takes all of us, coming together, to challenge harmful norms and make lasting change.

TAJIC Foundation’s Commitment

In this light, TAJIC Foundation has been proactively carrying out activities aimed at ending violence against women, including:

Sourcing funds to prevent, respond to, and mitigate violence against women, ensuring perpetrators are held accountable.

  • Championing women’s economic empowerment to provide women with access to financial opportunities.
  • Addressing barriers that prevent girls from pursuing their education and ensuring they stay in school through scholarship support schemes.
  • Supporting campaigns against Gender-Based Violence through active involvement and advocacy.
  • Raising awareness through sensitization and educational campaigns.

These actions reflect our unwavering dedication to ensuring that women and girls live in a world free from violence and inequality.

How You Can Help

1. Educate Yourself and Others: Understanding the issue is the first step to creating change. Share information, start conversations, and raise awareness.

2. Speak Out: Silence only perpetuates violence. Use your voice to challenge discrimination and speak up when you see injustice.

3. Support Survivors: Whether it’s through emotional support, volunteering, or donating, help those affected by GBV rebuild their lives.

4. Advocate for Change: Stand up for policies that protect women and girls. Encourage action at all levels to prevent violence.

TAJIC Foundation is committed to ending gender-based violence and invites everyone to join us, unite, take action, and help create a world where women and girls can live free from violence. Together, we can make a difference.
